Great to meet you!

I am Dr. Patrick Fisher, a licensed and nationally certified counselor with over 20 years of experience in counseling psychology, leadership, and clinical practice. I provide experienced, high-level therapeutic support for individuals and families across the lifespan.

I specialize in working with clients on issues from all aspects of life with expertise in Anxiety, Depression, and Stress, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Healing from Trauma and Crisis, Adolescents and Family Support, and Spiritual and Ethical Values.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is grounded, collaborative, and focused on helping clients understand themselves in a deeper, more compassionate way. I draw from cognitive-behavioral tools to help people notice the patterns in their thoughts and behaviors that may be keeping them stuck. At the same time, I incorporate mindfulness to help clients slow down, stay present, and build a sense of calm and clarity during overwhelming moments.

I also use both evidence-based and acceptance-based approaches from ACT, which guide clients in learning how to make space for difficult emotions while still moving toward the life they want to build. Together, these approaches help clients develop insight, feel more connected to their values, and take practical steps toward meaningful change.

My style is warm, steady, and supportive. I meet clients where they are, honor their lived experiences, and create a space where they can explore, heal, and grow at a pace that feels right for them.

What you can expect from me

In a first session, clients can expect a warm, structured, and judgment-free experience that focuses entirely on understanding their needs and helping them feel safe. I begin by getting to know their story at a pace that feels comfortable—exploring what brought them to counseling, what they hope to change, and what support looks like for them.

From there, I provide a clear explanation of the treatment process so clients know exactly what to expect: how sessions are structured, available levels of care, confidentiality, and how we’ll work together to set goals that feel achievable and meaningful.

I also complete a clinically thorough assessment, but I deliver it in a conversational and trauma-informed way, making sure clients don’t feel rushed or overwhelmed. My goal is for every person to leave that first session feeling heard, respected, and empowered—with a sense that they finally have a partner and a plan. Clients can expect openness, transparency, and a collaborative approach from day one.
