Great to meet you!

I have worked in community mental health since 2016 and since 2019 as a licensed therapist. In that work, I started as a generalist, seeing every population and diagnosis and seeing most clients make substantial progress. As my practice has evolved, I've developed a focus on trauma, neurodiversity, early adulthood issues, sexuality, and mood disorders. Having been both a client and a therapist, I understand my client's experiences and can share tried and tested methods to improve your mental health.

My approach to therapy

I use a conversational, direct, collaborative, affirming approach to work with clients on their mental health goals, whether that be improving one area of life or resolving symptoms. My private practice specializes in issues related to neurodiversity, various trauma, navigating early adulthood, sexuality, and addressing the roots and symptoms of depression and anxiety.

What you can expect from me

I'm going to tell you the official stuff in a second, but the first thing you need to know is that as intimidating, or vulnerable, or scary, or burdensome as it can feel to start with a new therapist, I'm going to make this easy on you. I'm down to earth, I'm just a person, and we're just going to talk. I do know what I'm doing, you're safe, and I promise it's not as scary or overwhelming as it seems at first.

Now, to the formal stuff: I offer individual sessions of an hour length that can range from processing historical or recent traumas to practical measures to address current symptoms to simply discussing issues related to your mental health. Clients frequently report feeling that they've learned new things, feel heard and seen, and did intense work. Note: I do not offer couple, family, or child sessions.
