My approach to therapy

ERP / I-CBT / DBT / ACT / SPACE

Ms. Tonwar’s clinical training and experience are grounded in a deep commitment to supporting clients through their unique healing journeys with compassion, collaboration, and evidence-based care.

Her therapeutic approach integrates several modalities tailored to each client’s needs, including Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and Inference-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (I-CBT), both evidence-based treatments for Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD). She also incorporates Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and the SPACE (Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions) program to help clients build resilience, strengthen emotional regulation, and create meaningful, lasting change.

What you can expect from me

As a therapist, my primary goal is to guide you on your healing journey through evidence-based treatments, while offering a safe, compassionate space where you can explore the challenges that brought you to therapy, ultimately helping you approach these challenges with greater confidence and ease.
