Great to meet you!

My name is Randi. I am a mother of 3. I have a certification as a Registered Medical Assistant, I have my bachelors of science in Psychology from the University of Phoenix, and my masters of arts in Marriage and family therapy specializing in children and adolescents from Northcentral University. I have worked with multiple populations through my working experience as a daycare teacher and a Registered behavioral therapist working directly in ABA for children with Autism. I was a military child who moved around consistently and went through multiple changes in early childhood. I understand how difficult it can be for children and teens to cope with the constant changes that they deal with daily. I work on allowing them to have a safe space free of judgement so they can feel free to be themselves and have a safe person to confide in. My goal for therapy is that everyone feels comfortable and in time be willing to open up about struggles they are facing without fear of ridicule. I explain my job as a professional secret keeper to allow younger clients to know that what is stated in sessions stay in sessions.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy differs on each individual. I tailor my methods to what the client needs. I do not run off of a check list and prefer to go with the flow as long as it stays on track with goals. If there are concerns, bring them! If there are questions, ask them! I am not here to pass judgement only here to be a listening ear and offer guidance when it is wanted and needed.

What you can expect from me

During the initial session I try to limit pressure. I encourage self reflection and encourage each person to allow me to know who they really are. I also encourage them to be inquisitive and ask me any questions so they can know me as well. I welcome curiosity! In my office the old saying that there are no bad questions is very true.
