Great to meet you!

“Therapy is life-changing and life-affirming – this is one of my motivating principles that I adhere to in practice. As a licensed clinical social worker and certified life coach, I want my clients to believe in the therapeutic change of therapy.”

My approach to therapy

I am Raquel King, LCSW, CCM, a former graduate of the School of Social Work at Tulane University where I began developing my clinical behavioral foundations and methodologies. With more than 28 years as a mental health professional in the State of Texas I have an extensive and strong clinical background within various populations, with a focus on adults, seniors, and individuals living with chronic illness.

What you can expect from me

My therapeutic, client centered approach integrates evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness Therapy, and Psycho-Education to adapt treatment plans that meet each client's unique needs. I am dedicated and committed to fostering personal growth and healing for individuals, so it is imperative to my private practice that a therapeutic environment is created where clients can explore their emotions, develop coping strategies, and achieve meaningful change in a safe, non-judgmental environment.
