Great to meet you!
I am a licensed professional counselor and certified alcohol and drug counselor with a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I specialize in working with individuals navigating substance use disorders, co-occurring mental health conditions, and life transitions. With several years of experience in the behavioral health field, I have supported clients in developing practical tools for recovery, emotional regulation, and long-term stability.
My approach to therapy is collaborative, direct, and grounded in evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). I also integrate elements of 12-step principles when appropriate, helping clients build structure, accountability, and meaning in their recovery journey.
I have extensive experience working with individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma-related symptoms, impulsivity, and patterns of self-sabotage. I strive to create a space where clients feel both supported and challenged—encouraging insight, personal responsibility, and sustainable change.
My background has shaped my perspective in a unique way. Prior to becoming a clinician, I served in the military and later worked in hands-on therapeutic roles, which strengthened my ability to connect with people from diverse walks of life. I understand that change is not linear, and I work with clients to build resilience, increase self-awareness, and develop skills that translate into real-world progress.
Whether you are early in your recovery, working through deeper emotional patterns, or seeking to improve your overall mental health, my goal is to help you move forward with clarity, confidence, and purpose.
