Great to meet you!

Hi there! I'm a trauma-focused therapist who specializes in complex trauma (big or small "t") and how it can show up as the basis for conditions like anxiety, depression, OCD, sleep issues, eating disorders, PTSD, relationship issues, and even chronic pain or physical health conditions. My goal isn't just to help you understand where your issues come from, but to actually change how you feel and function. I like to think of what I do as the intersection of neuroscience and empathy, where we leverage therapeutic connection and your brain/body's structural capacity to heal.

Education: MSW, Florida Atlantic University, Class of 2022

Professional Background: Crisis Center/Inpatient Mental Health, Partial Hospitalization Programs, Outpatient Therapy

Populations/Specialties: Combat Vets/First Responders, Sexual Trauma, Childhood Trauma, Attachment Trauma (Relationship Trauma), General Family Dysfunction, Intergenerational Trauma, Autoimmune/Inflammatory Condition Sufferers, Chronic Pain Sufferers, Disordered Eating/Body Dysmorphia

My approach to therapy

I have a relaxed, straightforward therapeutic style. Clients who need a therapist who feels "real," without lacking in clinical depth or effectiveness are my forte. I'll listen to your story without judgement, while collaborating with you on the direction we take.

Every modality I practice, I have personally experienced the efficacy of, from EMDR and somatic therapies, to Gestalt and CBT. As a rule, I do not expect my clients to do anything I would not or have not done. It takes courage to ask someone for help, and I have great respect not just for your strengths, but for the vulnerability of your process.

What you can expect from me

My goal for the first session is to find out what brought you into therapy, what you would like to change, and learn as much of your personal history and development as you are comfortable disclosing. That said, the best therapy is built on trust, and the first session is where we get our footing. Once the client is comfortable with moving forward, I work with them in selecting a treatment approach.
