I worked over 20 years in several corporate, nonprofit and government settings prior to becoming a licensed therapist. I received my master's degree in Mental Health Counseling at City University of Seattle. During my internship I worked with a county mental health agency serving seriously mentally ill clients for six years. In addition, I have completed extensive training and received certification in both Crisis Counseling and Grief Counseling. I am also a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) and a Certified Narcissistic Abuse Treatment Clinician (NATC).

Safe, collaborative and nonjudgmental allow us to establish a trusting therapeutic relationship. I provide individual therapy to increase coping skills and decision-making capabilities to handle stressors including "adulting," job changes (workplace bullying, termination, promotion, new career), grief due to a loss or death (including pet loss) or terminal/chronic diagnosis or illness, relationships (narcissistic abuse, infidelity, separation/divorce), and other life changes (empty nest, retirement, menopause, midlife crisis).

Deep listening -- and being heard, maybe for the first time in their life. Most people have a story they want or need to tell, but no one has bothered to really listen to them. This helps build a strong therapeutic relationship which is vital.
