Great to meet you!

I have over twenty years of experience working as a counselor. I believe in taking the time to invest in helping people see their own solutions to their problems. I prefer to walk with them on the journey to find these solutions as a shared approach. I sincerely do care about the person and getting to know each and every one I work with by meeting them where they are at. I am willing to incorporate some faith based (Christian) perspectives into treatment if asked yet I will not push this on you. I believe that we all have stories to tell and that these stories shape our every day life. My goal is to help people work on their anxiety, depression or other issues related to their daily lives in a way that they can become more active and healthy in their lives and relationships around them.

My approach to therapy

I prefer to listen and focus on working through practical suggestions when possible. Often we get lost in 'processing' and over analyzing so many things we can miss the solutions right in front of us. In some instances, this means learning to cope in the long term. I encourage humor and seeing some positives when possible yet maintain a professional and supportive demeanor with everyone I work with.

What you can expect from me

I tend to obtain a basic understanding of who you are, how you are doing and what has brought you to the this point without judgement. I also try to build a relationship and understand what your needs are from a practical point of view and generate some basic goals to guide our time together in future sessions.
