Great to meet you!

Mindfulness, self-awareness, and personal empowerment is at the heart of my therapeutic approach. Having experienced a variety of cultures and meditation practices, I believe in the power of presence and self-awareness to foster healing, resilience, and interpersonal connection. I aim to create a safe, compassionate space where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings, and we can work collaboratively to create and sustain balance and fulfillment in life!

My approach to therapy

In today’s world, the unavoidable overload of information combined with the weight of internalized expectations often create unmanageable stress levels. Using a mindfulness-based approach, I help my clients develop a sense of purpose and empowerment in their lives by learning to accept their thoughts and emotions in the present. Through an understanding of their sphere of influence, clients learn to focus on what they can control, while letting go of their attachment to outcomes outside of their control, bringing out peace and fulfillment. My caring yet direct approach helps clients find the courage to confront their fears and deal with them head on.

What you can expect from me

Having worked for many years in public education as a school counselor, my overall approach is very solution-focused and I am interested in providing my clients with practical tools they can use and immediately apply in their lives. Clients can expect, therefore, to walk away from sessions with skills they can use to reduce their stress levels and proactively problem-solve the current challenges they’re experiencing in life. As for goal-setting with my clients, again, I like to focus on the practical. Personal goals such as controlling negative emotions, introducing new mental narratives, or employing stress-reducing strategies in anxiety-provoking situations are common examples. On an interpersonal level, goals such as having difficult conversations with people and focusing on giving your personal best effort are also important.
