Dr. Robert Pate

Psychologist
11 years of experience
  • Anxiety, Depression, Relationship issues, Trauma
  • Individual therapy, Family therapy

Great to meet you!

I obtained a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Wagner College and a master’s degree and PsyD in Clinical Psychology from Biola University, and I hold a license as a psychologist in California.

I specialize in treating couples. These often include distressed couples, those looking for a “tune up” in an otherwise healthy relationship, couples looking for premarital counseling, and those recovering from relational trauma and affairs.

My approach to therapy

I provide a judgment-free zone in which to explore your concerns. No guilt, no shame, just new perspectives and solutions that work. “If you can’t say it in therapy, where can you say it?” Therapy isn’t always easy, but it doesn’t have to be painful. Life can be painful enough on its own!

What you can expect from me

I also have extensive experience working with common concerns such as depression, anxiety, trauma, self-esteem, career transition, and identity development, as well as experience working with less common conditions such as psychosis, bi-polar disorder, and personality disorders.
