Great to meet you!

I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I have my Master's degree in Family Therapy from Nova Southeastern University. I enjoy working with individuals (both children and adults), families and couples. In therapy, I create a safe space for my clients to explore their feelings and recognize different patterns of behavior. My priorities are to maintain confidentiality and standing by cultural competence in order to join with clients in a non-judgmental manner. I focus on therapy through a systemic lens which enables specialization in interrelationships between self and others and considers not just the client but everyone around them. I specialize in reducing relational conflict, grief therapy, and substance use.

My approach to therapy

I utilize a non-judgmental stance while providing support to my clients who encounter issues with relationships, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, stress management, emotional health struggles and life transitions. I allow clients to feel comfortable with me through empathy and my caring nature throughout their journey in therapy, while creating a safe space as I listen to my clients to gain an understanding of their feelings and thoughts without judgments. My goal is to assist clients to recognize their strengths while guiding them through personal challenges and place an emphasis on emotional healing, relationships, and daily functioning. As a therapist, I believe in effective communication with clients, allowing them gain insight and find possible solutions.

What you can expect from me

In the first few sessions with me, I will gather information about your background, concerns you may have, and goals you want to accomplish while establishing a therapeutic foundation that is built on building rapport with you and discussing confidentiality. During this time, it is an opportunity for us to build a connection since we may have vulnerable moments in therapy. Establishing that connection allows you to feel comfortable and safe with me as we start this journey together.
