Sally Powell

Prior to receiving my Masters degree, I worked in mental health for 14 years as a psychiatric RN. Throughout my career, I have had numerous psychiatric experiences, leading me to work in both inpatient and outpatient settings, with patients across the lifespan from kids to older adults.

I have experience treating patients with severe and persistent mental illness, depression and mood disorders, substance use and detoxification, justice involved patients, chronic pain management, patients with chronic illness and trauma.

I attended University of Colorado - Colorado Springs for my graduate degree. My undergraduate degree is a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of New Hampshire.

I understand and appreciate the bravery and vulnerability needed to engage in treatment. I value meeting patients where they are at on their mental wellness journey, and look forward to creating a partnership that is safe and authentic.

My approach is centered on fostering a therapeutic partnership with my patients. During our sessions, we will work together toward meaningful progress of your treatment goals, ensuring you feel heard, supported, and empowered every step of the way. I'm always interested in people's likes, honoring recent wins, discussing recent challenges, hearing about their animals or chatting about a recent movie they enjoyed or a new recipe they tried.
