Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than 25 years of experience in mental health, primarily working with children and adolescents. I truly love working with kids and teenagers and helping them feel understood, supported, and capable of growth. My areas of focus include ADHD, anxiety, grief, executive functioning, and relationships in all their forms.

I want clients to know that I bring both experience and heart to this work. I aim to create a space that feels warm, welcoming, and safe, where clients can show up exactly as they are. Outside of therapy, I enjoy anything crafty, even if I’m not always great at it. Right now, I’m learning how to sew and reupholster furniture. I also love jigsaw puzzles, spending time with my family, treasure hunting with my husband, and exploring new places.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is grounded in connection, trust, and meeting each client where they are. I believe therapy works best when clients feel comfortable being themselves, so I focus on building a strong, supportive relationship first. From there, I help clients better understand their emotions, strengthen everyday coping skills, and work through the challenges that may be affecting their relationships, confidence, or daily life.

When working with children and teens, I know that every client is different. Some need practical tools and structure, while others need space to process, feel heard, and build trust at their own pace. I tailor therapy to the individual, always with the goal of helping clients feel more empowered, understood, and hopeful.

What you can expect from me

In a first session with me, clients can expect a relaxed and supportive conversation. There is no pressure to have everything figured out or to know exactly what to say. My goal is to get to know you, understand what brings you to therapy, and learn more about your strengths, concerns, and goals.

For children and teens especially, I want the first session to feel approachable and comfortable. We’ll take things one step at a time and begin building a foundation of trust. By the end of the session, my hope is that clients leave feeling heard, respected, and more at ease about the process ahead.
