Great to meet you!

I bring more than 20 years of experience in addiction science and mental health, helping individuals move beyond simply managing symptoms to understanding the root causes of their behaviors. I believe every person is the expert on their own life, and my role is to help uncover the wisdom, resilience, and strength that already exists within them.

My approach is compassionate, honest, and direct. While I meet every client with empathy and without judgment, I don't shy away from challenging the patterns that keep people stuck. Healing isn't about fixing who you are—it's about doing the inward work that creates lasting change in every area of your life.

Together, we'll explore what's beneath the surface, build awareness, and create meaningful shifts that move you toward greater peace, freedom, and authenticity.

My approach to therapy

My approach is solution-focused, collaborative, and rooted in the belief that lasting change comes from within. Rather than telling you what to do, I'll help you uncover the answers that already exist within you while providing the guidance, structure, and support to help you move forward.

I primarily use motivational interviewing and reflective listening, creating a space where you feel heard while also being challenged to look honestly at the patterns, beliefs, and experiences shaping your life. I believe our past influences us, but it does not have to define our future.

Therapy is an active process. Healing requires honesty, presence, and a willingness to do the deeper work. You are always in the driver's seat—I simply help you navigate the road, stay on course, and move toward the life you want to create.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, my priority is getting to know you—not just the challenges that brought you to therapy, but the person behind them. We'll begin exploring your story, your experiences, and the underlying patterns that may be contributing to the struggles you're facing.

I believe addiction and other self-destructive behaviors are rarely the root problem—they're often symptoms of deeper emotional wounds, unmet needs, or life experiences that deserve compassion and understanding. Together, we'll begin uncovering what brought you here and identifying the core issues that have kept you stuck.

You can expect an honest, supportive conversation where you'll be heard, challenged, and encouraged. My hope is that you leave our first session with greater clarity, a deeper understanding of yourself, and the confidence that meaningful healing and lasting recovery are possible.
