Great to meet you!

I'm so glad you're here! I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in New York. I have a BS in Psychology and Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counseling from SUNY Brockport and a MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Syracuse University. I have about 5 years of experience working with different several populations, including those with anxiety, trauma, and depression. I also have specialized training working veterans and individuals with substance use issues.

My approach to therapy

I gravitate towards a strengths-based approach, believing you have what you need in you already to make the changes you want. I will encourage you to look within yourself to identify your values and we will work together to find ways to live by what’s important to you. I practice from a trauma-informed lens, incorporating Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) to help you get to the root of what is causing your pain. I also like to incorporate mind-body practices where appropriate.

What you can expect from me

I think that as humans, we often don’t experience someone who is 100% hearing us out and is completely in our corner. My hope is that I can be that person for you. Someone who listens, roots for you, and cares deeply for your well-being. I strive to build a trusting relationship with you in order for you to begin to bring your secrets, dreams, and emotions to the forefront of your mind instead of pushing them aside to simply survive the day-to-day.
