About Me

Each of us are complex human beings who at various times in our lives can feel overwhelmed with emotions or feel stuck in certain life situations and have trouble knowing how to move forward. As a board certified psychiatrist and psychotherapist, trained in NYC, I have had the privilege of working with adults, adolescents, children and their families to address a wide range of concerns including depression and mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, parenting issues, problems in relationships or with self-esteem, developmental problems and identity conflicts.

Each of us are complex human beings who at various times in our lives can feel overwhelmed with emotions or stuck in life situations. As a board certified psychiatrist and psychotherapist, trained in NYC, I have had the privilege of working with adults, adolescents, children and their families to address a wide range of concerns including depression and mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, problems in relationships or with self-esteem, developmental problems and identity conflicts.

My approach begins with a thorough evaluation to gain an understanding of your current symptoms, areas of concern, and your past history including biological, developmental, and cultural factors. We would then discuss treatment recommendations based on your needs and goals. As a psychiatrist, I am able to prescribe medications when needed, but value the importance of psychotherapy for meaningful change. To this end, I have additional training in psychoanalytic, cognitive, and experiential forms of psychotherapy in order to best help my patient’s needs. If you would like to consider treatment, please call to schedule a time for a brief phone intake and to schedule an appointment.
