Great to meet you!

My name is Shani Muhammad and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New Jersey. I graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Health Studies from Monmouth University. I graduated in 2014 from Stockton University with a Master's in Social Work. I am the founder/therapist at Journey of Rose & Mary, LLC. I help young adults and women overcome trauma, depression, anxiety, and grief.

My approach to therapy

Whether you're a woman or man balancing identity, burnout, or societal pressure or a first responder carrying the weight of others while pushing through your own. You are seen here. This space is faith-informed, culturally grounded, and made for all of who you are. I use evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) with my clients.

What you can expect from me

In the first session, I will introduce myself and answer any questions that you may have. I like to get you know who you are, your core values, and reasons for seeking counseling. I generally will have some questions about your family history and accomplishments you have made within your lifetime.
