Great to meet you!

I am a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 18 years of nursing experience across inpatient, outpatient, crisis, and community mental health settings. I work with adolescents, adults, and older adults experiencing anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma, ADHD, stress related concerns, and other mental health challenges.

My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and patient centered. I believe mental health care works best when clients feel heard, respected, and actively involved in their treatment. I take time to understand each person’s unique experiences, goals, and concerns while creating individualized treatment plans that may include medication management, supportive therapy, psychoeducation, and lifestyle based strategies.

I strive to create a warm, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel comfortable being themselves. My communication style is approachable, supportive, and grounded in empathy. I value building strong therapeutic relationships and helping clients feel empowered throughout their mental health journey.

I am passionate about serving diverse and underserved communities and understand the importance of culturally sensitive care. Whether you are seeking support for the first time or continuing your mental health journey, my goal is to help you feel supported, informed, and confident in your care.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is collaborative, compassionate, and individualized. I believe mental health treatment should be a partnership where clients feel heard, respected, and actively involved in decisions about their care. I take time to understand each person’s unique experiences, symptoms, stressors, strengths, and goals so we can develop a treatment plan that feels realistic and effective.

I provide evidence based care that may include medication management, supportive therapy, psychoeducation, and practical coping strategies tailored to each client’s needs. I also recognize the strong connection between mental and physical health and consider lifestyle factors, sleep, stress, relationships, and overall wellness as part of treatment.

I strive to create a warm, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel safe being open and honest. My goal is to help clients build insight, stability, confidence, and long term tools that support their overall well being and quality of life.

What you can expect from me

During the first session, clients can expect a welcoming, supportive, and judgment free environment where they can openly discuss their concerns, symptoms, experiences, and goals for treatment. The initial appointment is focused on getting to know you as a whole person, not just your diagnosis or symptoms.

We will review your mental health history, current challenges, medical history, medications, lifestyle factors, and any previous treatment experiences. I will also ask questions to better understand how your symptoms are affecting your daily life, relationships, work, school, or overall well being.

Together, we will discuss treatment options and begin developing a personalized plan that aligns with your needs and goals. This may include medication management, supportive therapy, coping strategies, lifestyle recommendations, or referrals for additional support if needed.

My goal during the first session is to help clients feel comfortable, heard, informed, and supported while building a strong foundation for ongoing care.
