Great to meet you!

Hello, my name is Shari Hull. I am dually licensed as an LCSW, LADC to practice in the state of Florida. I graduated from the University of Ct as an MSW, then furthered my career goals earning an LCSW in 2012 and LADC in 2014.

In my practice, I schedule “maintenance sessions” throughout treatment, to facilitate positive changes and problem solve obstacles to improvement. Your feedback is very important to me as your therapist, especially surrounding what is working and what is not working for you, You know you best! I encourage my patients to speak openly about any concerns they may have (no judgement zone) and ask questions about anything said during therapy that needs further clarification. Through interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral therapy and Motivational Interviewing we can zero in on "the why behind the behavior(s)" and "brainstorm" the most beneficial path forward. Remember, you put yourself where you want to be... Together we will build a fully equipped "tool box" to keep you moving toward your best possible future.

I look forward to serving you and meeting you where you are at this moment, to help you get to where you want to be

Shari Hull LCSW, LADC

My approach to therapy

My practice includes “maintenance sessions” scheduled throughout treatment, to facilitate positive changes and problem solve obstacles to improvement. My "conversational" therapeutic style encourages the clients' self expression and willingness to share difficult thoughts and feelings. To help you sort out life challenges, I offer solution focused/ supportive therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing, to discover and redirect/ decrease challenges from another time, that may still effect you currently. At the end of each session, we will discuss homework, (it will be okay, I assure you) this is so you can practice new skills throughout the week and ask any questions you may have, or concerns for next session. You own the session, bring an agenda if you would like. Take good care, See you soon.

What you can expect from me

During the initial session, I will introduce myself, and share my therapeutic style(s) and working modalities. We will complete an initial assessment that includes your reason for seeking treatment at this time, any (personal or otherwise) concerns you may have, your expectations for therapy and your goals for treatment. We will talk about relationships, hobbies and social, work related or life stressors impacting you currently. I want you to feel comfortable, so please feel free to ask any questions you may have throughout this and all further sessions.
