Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Shatasha. I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC), and a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (ADC). I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, stress, and addiction and recovery — sometimes one of these, often a few of them tangled together.

My job isn't to hand you a rulebook for your life. It's to help you figure out what's actually getting in your way and build a plan to work through it that fits who you are. If you've been carrying something heavy for a while and you're ready to set it down, I'd love to talk.

My approach to therapy

I meet you where you are. The therapy that works for one person doesn't always work for the next, so I draw from a few approaches depending on what you need — most often Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy.

In practice, that means we spend less time stuck in the problem and more time mapping out what change could look like — small, doable steps that actually move the needle. You set the goal; I help you get there and stay there.

What you can expect from me

The first session is mostly about getting to know each other. I'll ask a lot of questions — what's been going on lately, what brought you in, what you've already tried — and we'll spend real time on what you're up against right now.

You don't have to come in with a perfect explanation of why you're here. Just show up. By the end of the hour, we'll have a sense of where to start and what working together is going to look like.
