In our first session, there’s no pressure to have the “right” words or a perfectly organized story. We’ll start by slowing things down. I’ll want to understand what brought you in, what life has been feeling like lately, and what you’re hoping might change, at your pace.
You can expect a conversation that feels human, not clinical. I’ll ask questions, reflect back what I’m hearing, and help you make sense of patterns that may already be showing up beneath the surface. We’ll also talk about your background, identity, and context because none of us exist in a vacuum.
Most importantly, the first session is about safety and fit. You’re getting to see how it feels to talk with me just as much as I’m learning about you. By the end, you should leave feeling a bit more understood, a bit less alone, and with a clearer sense of what our work together could look like. Unfortunately, I cannot accept insurance for couple's counseling at this time. Feel free to reach out with any questions.
