Great to meet you!

I am a licensed counselor in Illinois with 12 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with stress, anxiety, relationship issues, family conflicts, and helping them through transitional life changes. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. I am here to support you in that process.

My approach to therapy

I approach therapy from a curious, attachment-oriented, systems perspective. I believe that therapeutic success is rooted in how the therapist and client relate to each other. Authentic connection develops best in a compassionate safe space, Before we can accept or have compassion for ourselves, we need to practice vulnerability which takes trust. Learning to trust ourselves and listen to our intuition is a critical step to healing.

What you can expect from me

In your first session, we will talk about the interactive process of therapy, what brought you to therapy, the expectations for each of us, what you would like to get out of therapy, and how you will know when therapy has been successful.

Successful therapy happens incrementally. You can expect to discover more about who you are, what you are needing, and how to let go of things that no longer serve you.
