Great to meet you!

Hello, I'm Sheila Paul, LMFT, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who has been helping adults heal from trauma, anxiety, depression, and the lasting impact of toxic family dynamics since 2006. I'm also the founder of Insight Counseling Center, a compassionate telehealth group practice dedicated to supporting clients who are ready to move beyond coping and begin living with greater clarity, purpose, and peace.

At Insight, our clinicians work with high-functioning adults who are emotionally worn down. These are often the dependable ones in their families, workplaces, or communities who’ve spent years carrying others while neglecting their own needs. Our clients are thoughtful, insightful people who are ready to release old wounds, break free from unhealthy patterns, and reconnect with themselves in more honest and sustainable ways.

If I am unavailable, you will be thoughtfully matched with a trusted clinician on our team who is best suited to your needs. Every therapist at Insight Counseling Center shares a deep commitment to quality care, integrity, and long-term healing.

My approach to therapy

We bring a direct, compassionate, and client-focused approach to therapy. Our team is trained in trauma-informed, CBT, and insight-oriented modalities, and we specialize in working with adult children of narcissists, survivors of emotional abuse, and those experiencing chronic anxiety or burnout.

Our clinical backgrounds span hospitals, non-profits, and academic settings, including college-level instruction in psychology, and inform the grounded, practical support we offer through nearly two decades of private practice.

What you can expect from me

At Insight Counseling Center, we believe healing happens in connection, not isolation. Whether you're working through grief, people-pleasing, family conflict, or a sense that life feels heavier than it should, we offer a warm and supportive space to unpack the past and move toward a more empowered future.

Therapy with us isn't about perfection. It's about progress, self-trust, and building a life that finally feels like it's yours.
