Great to meet you!

In 2002, I found myself navigating life as a divorced mom of three amazing children. After spending 20 years in healthcare, I felt a little stuck and realized I could use a change. I had always dreamed of becoming a nurse, so I decided to dive into school with the tuition assistance from my job. I’ll admit, I was pretty nervous about returning to education after so many years!

One of the courses I took on marriage and family in the Sociology Department ended up sparking a huge change in my career path. I often wondered, “Who’s going to listen to me?” but I decided to trust in God and follow my heart.

Fast forward to 2005—I earned my Bachelor of Science in Human Services and then completed my Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy at the University of Phoenix in 2008. Not long after that, I tackled the hardest test of my life and became a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

Working in both community and private practice has been such a joy for me! I love connecting with people and seeing them transform their lives. It’s amazing to help them believe in themselves and realize their potential.

When I’m not busy with therapy, you can find me at church or enjoying delightful family gatherings filled with laughter, great food, and good music. I also love baking sweets and scrolling through fun hair and makeup tutorials online!

I’d love to help you rewrite your life story too! Let’s tackle your challenges together and explore the wonderful possibilities that await you on the other side. Transformation is absolutely within reach!

My approach to therapy

I take a warm and friendly approach to therapy! I blend different styles, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), and Person-Centered Therapy (PCT), with an emphasis on your strengths. This way, we can work together in a way that feels comfortable and personal, helping you grow and thrive.

What you can expect from me

You can expect to feel validated, supported, and YES heard as you began to master overcoming the anxiety, depression, and the pervasive sense of failure. By normalizing your pain, you will be taught the skills that lead to genuine transformation. Let me help you re-discover your confidence and sense of hope.
