Great to meet you!

Throughout my career, I have worked extensively with youth and families in underserved communities—leading clinical programs, managing residential services, supervising staff and interns, and developing trauma-informed, culturally responsive interventions. Currently, I serve as Clinical Services Manager at Phalanx Family Services, where I oversee a multidisciplinary team supporting young people affected by poverty, violence, and systemic inequities. I also have academic teaching experience as a former high school teacher, clinical intern, author and public educator, and I regularly facilitate community workshops and professional development sessions on trauma, emotional regulation, and mental wellness.

My approach to therapy

As a therapist specializing in trauma, I approach my work with a deeply human, conversational style. My goal is to create a space that feels safe, supportive, and real—where clients don’t feel talked at, but engaged with. Healing happens through relationship, and I believe that change begins when clients feel truly seen, heard, and understood.

In session, you’ll notice that I bring my full, authentic self into the room. I’m not a “blank slate” therapist—I ask thoughtful questions, offer feedback, and reflect with you in a way that feels more like a conversation than a clinical interrogation. I work from a place of mutual respect and trust, empowering clients to co-create goals, track their own progress, and shape their healing journey at a pace that works for them.

What you can expect from me

Expect to be heard, seen, and given tools to provide immediate help. Through grounding exercises, mindfulness tools, and emotional regulation techniques, clients will begin to feel safe in their own bodies and more capable of managing their own feelings. Clients can expect to gain skills to challenge negative thought patterns, shift unhelpful behaviors, and build healthier coping strategies.
