Great to meet you!

I'm Sonia Casorla, a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner - Board Certified. I specialize in working with Women, the Latinx Community, the LGBTQIA+ community, and First Responders who struggle with anxiety and depressive disorders. I help by establishing rapport/collaboration with patients, am skilled at conducting patient assessments, provide education, and implementing culturally sensitive care. In our first few sessions, you can expect a tailored treatment plan. My practice is unique because the populations I treat have been part of my shared experiences with my patients. I am passionate about this work because everyone deserves quality care and healing.

My approach to therapy

I have often asked myself, what do patients really need? How would I want to be treated? What am I looking for from a provider? Active listening and a judgement free experience. I want to collaborate with my patients to provide them the best treatment options on their healing journey.

What you can expect from me

As a provider, I want to get to know you. First sessions entail a through interview process that take approximately one hour. No rushing! I want you to feel comfortable sharing your story with me, so we can pinpoint the underlying themes in that are part of your mental health. The goal of this is create the steps to begin a healing journey.
