Great to meet you!

Are you finding it hard to navigate daily life because of past trauma? Do you feel the weight and pressureof being a first responder or working in high-stress emergencies? Have you struggled with alcohol or drug dependency and are ready to take your life back? Reaching out for support can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to do it alone. I’ve worked in the mental health field for over 17 years and have been a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT #53257) since 2013. During that time, I’ve supported people through trauma, addiction, grief, and family challenges in both community and private practice settings. My experience also includes working with first responders, military families, and justice-involved individuals. I believe everyone has strengths that can be rediscovered and built upon in the healing process, and my role is to provide a safe, compassionate space where you feel heard and respected.

My approach to therapy

I know what it’s like to sit on the other side of therapy, and that experience shapes how I show up as a therapist. I want you to feel safe, understood, and in control of your journey. My approach is trauma-informed and collaborative, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, narrative therapy, and motivational approaches like Motivational Interviewing. Together, we’ll identify patterns, set meaningful goals, and build practical tools so you can move forward with clarity, resilience, and renewed motivation.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we’ll spend time exploring what brought you in and what you’re hoping to get from therapy. I’ll ask questions at a pace that feels comfortable for you, and you’re welcome to ask me anything as well. If you’re unsure what to expect, that’s completely okay - I’ll guide you through the process and help you feel prepared. This time is about getting to know you, understanding your needs, and making sure we’re a good fit to work together.
