Great to meet you!

I see clients from 12 and up. I provide both in person and online sessions. I received my MA in Counseling Psychology in 2007 from Avila University. I have been a counselor for over 17 years. I am also a licensure supervisor and have supervised several provisionally licensed counselors to licensure. I have experience working with all ages of clients in a variety of settings including in-home, residential and outpatient.

My approach to therapy

I have worked with children, teens, adults and families in many capacities in my career. I use evidence-based treatments to help my clients heal from their trauma. I am certified in EMDR and use this modality most often. I also have extensive experience working with LGBTQIA+ clients, specifically those in the trans community. I am both kink positive and body positive in my practice with clients. I specialize in trauma therapy, emotion dysregulation and issues associated with difficult life transitions. I truly look forward to helping you on your journey from hurt to hope!

My specialty and passion is helping survivors of trauma heal emotionally. On this journey of healing, I also assist my clients in becoming the best they can be by teaching mood regulation skills, ways to be more effective in relationships and, in turn, growing as individuals and finding true hope.

What you can expect from me

The first session includes rapport building, which is most important! I’ll also take an extensive history and we will collaboratively set goals for therapy.
