Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and clinical supervisor who values creating a space where you feel safe, respected, and genuinely heard. I view therapy as walking alongside you rather than directing you. You are the expert on your life, and my role is to support you in understanding your experiences, patterns, and goals more clearly.

I hold a graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and am completing doctoral work in Counselor Education and Supervision. My academic and clinical work focuses on trauma-informed care, wellness, and the healing impact of supportive relationships. In addition to providing therapy, I teach and supervise developing counselors, which keeps me grounded in both research-based practices and real human connection.

I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, burnout, stress, life transitions, and relationship concerns. Many of my clients are helpers, caregivers, students, and high achievers who are used to being strong for others but feel overwhelmed, exhausted, or disconnected from themselves. I also help clients understand relationship patterns, strengthen boundaries, and develop self-compassion.

In our work together, you can expect warmth, curiosity, and practical tools. We will move at a pace that feels comfortable to you. My goal is not to change who you are, but to help you understand yourself more deeply so you can live with greater clarity, confidence, and emotional freedom.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is humanistic and person-centered. I believe people grow best in an environment where they feel accepted, understood, and emotionally safe. Rather than telling you what to do, I focus on understanding your perspective and helping you make sense of your thoughts, feelings, and patterns.

I work to create a space where you can speak openly without fear of judgment. From there, we explore what matters to you, what feels stuck, and what you want your life to look like moving forward. I will ask thoughtful questions, reflect on what I hear, and help you notice themes that may be difficult to see on your own.

While our work is grounded in genuine conversation and our relationship, I also incorporate practical tools when helpful. These might include emotion awareness, boundary-setting, communication skills, and ways to respond differently to anxiety or self-criticism.

I view therapy as a collaborative process. We move at your pace and focus on goals that feel meaningful to you. My role is to walk alongside you as you develop clarity, self-trust, and the ability to respond to life with greater confidence and compassion.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building comfort and trust. I will ask questions about what brings you to therapy, your current concerns, and important parts of your history, but you are always free to share at your own pace. You do not need to have everything figured out before you come in.

We will also discuss what you hope to gain from therapy and what would make our time together feel helpful. From there, we will begin shaping a plan for our work so that sessions feel intentional and focused on what matters most to you.

I will explain how therapy works, answer any questions you have, and ensure you understand confidentiality and expectations. By the end of the session, you should have a clearer sense of what working together will feel like and what our next steps will be.

My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, respected, and a little less alone with what you are carrying.
