Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Stephanie. I'm an LMFT based in California working with adults, young adults, and adolescents via telehealth. I specialize in depression, anxiety, stress, life transitions, and the challenges that come with relationships, identity, and the world around you.

I decided to become a therapist because I started therapy at a young age. I was going through a lot of grief and hardship and felt very alone in it. When I found a therapist who helped me feel truly seen and heard, it changed my life and how I understood myself. That experience is what drives the work I do now. I want to create that same sense of hope and connection for the people I work with.

I take a calm, warm, and empathic approach. I am especially attuned to the experiences of young adults navigating life transitions, individuals working through racial identity and cultural stress, and women's mental health. I am LGBTQ+ affirming and create a space where all identities are welcomed and respected.

My approach to therapy

My approach is person-centered, which means sessions are built around you and what you actually need. I meet you where you are, while also gently bringing awareness to the thoughts and behaviors that may be getting in the way of your goals.

I work from a foundation of CBT and trauma-informed care. I also draw on psychodynamic, humanistic, and attachment-based approaches depending on what fits. Collaboration is key. I want to understand what works for you, not just run through a standard process.

My communication style is calm, warm, and understanding. I take the time to get to know your background, your strengths, and what you are working through before we figure out the best path forward together.

What you can expect from me

Most of the first session will be for you to share how you are feeling and what brought you in. Every person is different, so I take the time to listen and ask questions rather than jump to a plan right away.

I will share a bit about how I work, my style, and the structure of sessions. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard and with a sense of what we might focus on together going forward.

If you want to connect before booking, reach out. I look forward to hearing from you.
