Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with more than 30 years of experience working in mental health, trauma, substance use, medical social work, and community-based treatment. Throughout my career, I have worked in hospitals, outpatient settings, and leadership roles supporting adults, young adults, and families facing a wide range of emotional and life challenges.

My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and trauma-informed. I believe therapy should be a safe space where people feel respected, understood, and supported without judgment. I value authenticity, connection, and helping clients build insight, resilience, and meaningful change in their lives.

I have experience working with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship issues, life transitions, burnout, self-esteem, addiction and recovery, family dynamics, and stress related to caregiving or professional roles. I also integrate mindfulness, expressive approaches, and strengths-based strategies when helpful.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, relational, and individualized. I believe that each person’s story, experiences, and strengths are unique, and I work collaboratively with clients to create treatment that feels supportive and meaningful to them.

I draw from several therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed therapy, mindfulness-based practices, motivational interviewing, psychodynamic insight, and strengths-based approaches. I also have a strong interest in holistic and integrative healing, including the connection between mind, body, emotions, and relationships.

In therapy, I strive to help clients increase self-awareness, improve coping skills, process difficult experiences, strengthen relationships, and reconnect with their own sense of purpose and resilience. I value creating a space where clients feel emotionally safe, empowered, and genuinely heard.

What you can expect from me

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a comfortable, supportive therapeutic relationship. Clients can expect a warm, nonjudgmental environment where we discuss what is bringing them to therapy, their current concerns, personal history, strengths, and goals for treatment.

I understand that starting therapy can sometimes feel vulnerable or overwhelming, so I approach the first session with compassion, curiosity, and respect for each person’s pace and comfort level. Together, we will begin identifying what support would be most helpful and create a plan that feels collaborative and realistic.

My goal is for clients to leave the first session feeling heard, supported, and hopeful about the therapeutic process.
