Great to meet you!
I work with adults experiencing stress, anxiety, and depression, using Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Client-Centered Therapy to help my clients improve their overall well-being. Additionally, I am a qualified administrator of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) - an assessment which helps clients gain a deeper understanding of their personality, as well as their natural strengths.
My approach to therapy varies based on the needs of each client I work with. I most frequently use Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Client-Centered Therapy as these modalities encourage a genuine working relationship between client and therapist – with the overall goal of enhanced client well-being. Additionally, specific cognitive-behavioral techniques are utilized to help the client acquire effective coping mechanisms. Also, to maximize the therapy experience, I often encourage clients to do some “homework” outside of sessions.
I work with adults who are experiencing stress, anxiety, and/or depression. A primary focus of mine is to help my clients develop healthy coping mechanisms to alleviate distressing symptoms and have a more positive life experience.
My communication style is warm, authentic, and empathic. I want my clients to share whatever they are experiencing, in a non-judgmental, nurturing environment.
In setting goals for clients, I believe in a collaborative approach – working with my clients to identify what they hope to gain from therapy. The foundation of a successful counselor/client relationship is trust, whereupon clients share freely as they navigate through the therapy process and pursue goals in a nurturing, uplifting setting.
