Great to meet you!

My name is Tanya and I have been working in the mental health field for over 10 years. I began as a case worker for senior adults at risk of institutionalization and continued my education at CSULB where I earned a Masters degree in Social Work with a specialization in community mental health. I am currently licensed in CA as an LCSW and have worked with a wide range of adults from those experiencing some emotional barriers to others suffering with chronic mental health disorders.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I take an eclectic approach to therapy to address a person's individual needs. I believe in the importance of history which can affect present day functioning. I help clients build insight to their thought process which can affect choices and behaviors. I have experience working with adults experiencing Anxiety, Depression, Grief and Loss, Mood Disorders and PTSD. I use evidence based techniques to support mental health improvement.

What you can expect from our first session

I aim to provide a relaxed, non-judgmental space where people can feel free to process whatever challenges they may have, We will collaborate on identifying attainable goals which are supported through strengths based methods.
