Great to meet you!

Hello, I am Tanya and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.I specialize in women’s issues, including ADHD, life transitions, recovery from narcissistic abuse, trauma, depression, anxiety, and substance use. My approach is collaborative and compassionate, focusing on empowering you to navigate challenges and build resilience. I'm not "formal," and prefer a more relaxed atmosphere. I utilize personalized evidence-based techniques to equip clients with healthy coping tools & strategies for current & future needs. My approach leans heavily on client-centered treatment methods that are suited to the client's needs and based on authenticity and personal values as guides to personal relief and joy.

My approach to therapy

I utilize a variety of treatment methods and tools. I strongly believe it is more important to have an array of skills and to utilize what is best for the client. CBT is a great basic method that I use for everyone, then add on other methods as needed to meet the client's needs. Additional methods include DBT & ACT for emotional regulation, as well as PVIT, and several other therapies. Basically, I use what is needed to treat the person who is in front of me during a session.

What you can expect from me

During regular sessions, a client is presented with compassion and acceptance for who they are and their situation, without judgment or unrealistic expectations.

A client can expect to have an honest and candid conversation with me in an environment that is safe. They will receive honest feedback from me, anything else is not useful.

Clients can expect to learn new coping skills and strategies that are tailored to them and their situation and their personal values.
