Great to meet you!

I am a dedicated counselor with nearly 20 years of experience in the field of education with four years as a school counselor, bringing a strong foundation in relationship-building and client support. In my work as a therapist, I help individuals navigate emotional, mental, and behavioral challenges by offering a supportive environment, teaching effective coping strategies, and fostering meaningful personal growth. I am passionate about empowering clients to overcome obstacles, build resilience, and achieve success across all areas of their lives.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, goal-oriented, and tailored to each individual’s unique needs. I primarily utilize evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to help clients develop practical skills for managing challenges and creating meaningful change. I specialize in working with individuals experiencing anxiety, trauma/PTSD, and grief, providing a supportive and structured space to process emotions, build resilience, and strengthen coping strategies. My focus is on helping clients gain insight, develop effective tools, and move toward their goals with confidence and clarity.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a welcoming, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where you can feel comfortable sharing at your own pace. We will begin by discussing what brings you to therapy, your current concerns, and any goals you may have for the process.

I will also ask questions to better understand your background, including relevant personal, emotional, and life experiences, so I can develop a clear picture of your needs. Together, we will start identifying priorities and discuss how I can best support you using approaches tailored to your goals.

This session is also an opportunity for you to ask questions, learn about my approach, and determine if we are a good fit. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, supported, and hopeful about the path forward.
