Great to meet you!

Life can sometimes be difficult to navigate but I believe that we all have the strength and resilience to change and live a more fulfilling life. I will actively work with you to help you recognize your own unique strengths and abilities as well as to help you become aware of patterns that could be getting in the way of your growth. My approach is non-judgmental, empathetic, and respectful as we work together toward achieving your goals.

My approach to therapy

I use a holistic integrative approach to therapy in order to meet your needs. I believe effective change comes from focusing on every dimension of your whole person - biological, psychological, social, and spiritual. My approach is client-centered including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), solution-focused therapy, as well as play therapy techniques. I am particularly passionate about working with children, teens, adults, and families who are struggling with trauma, relationship issues, anxiety, depression, mood dysregulation, and Attention Deficit Disorder. I have over 20 years of experience working with children, youth and adults. My educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in social work from Colorado State University, a master’s of social work degree from the University of Denver, and a doctorate of psychology degree from California Southern University.

What you can expect from me

During our first session I can answer any questions you have and we can talk about your goals for therapy. I look forward to meeting you and working with you in order to help you reach your therapeutic goals.
