I am an active therapist - I ask questions, offer feedback and reflections. I am also committed to creating and maintaining a therapy space where everyone feels safe: I am an activist in my personal life, and in our work together, I am an advocate for you - your thoughts and feelings matter.
My approach is systemic: I see clients in the context of the systems in which they exist–family, friends, work, society and self. We will look back to explore how family culture has shaped you (a genogram - think of a relational family tree - will help to explore some of who and what has influenced the person you are today) as well as attend to the present day to day. Pulling from a blend of therapeutic models, my approach intends to support development and enhancement of insight, and to provide skills to practice between sessions to help you embody the growth and understanding that you discover in our sessions.
