Great to meet you!

Welcome! I'm so glad you're here. My name is Tillarie, and I've been working in the mental health field for over 12 years. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working in a variety of settings—from private practice to inpatient and outpatient services at a behavioral health hospital. These experiences have shaped my down-to-earth, compassionate, and practical approach to counseling. I primarily use behavioral and cognitive-based modalities, but I also enjoy incorporating creative approaches like art and play therapy, especially when working with children or clients who benefit from non-traditional forms of expression. My goal is always to create a space where you feel seen, heard, and supported as you work through life’s challenges. When I’m not in the therapy room, you can find me antiquing, on the water, reading a good book (when I’m not busy being a full-time taxi driver, of course!), hanging out with my French bulldogs, or celebrating a rare good hair day. Wherever you are on your journey, I’d be honored to walk alongside you.

My approach to therapy

Client Centered: Every client is the expert on their own life; therapy should be collaborative, respectful, and empowering.

Trauma Informed: Understand the widespread impact of trauma and integrate practices that promote safety, choice, and healing.

Strength Based: Focus on client resilience and existing coping strategies while fostering growth.

What you can expect from me

Clients often gain a deeper understanding of their thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and patterns—both helpful and unhelpful. Through this awareness, they can begin to make more intentional choices.

I focus on equipping clients with skills they can use outside of sessions. This might include coping mechanisms, emotional regulation tools, boundary-setting techniques, or communication strategies tailored to their goals.

Clients can expect a nonjudgmental, compassionate environment where they feel heard, respected, and validated. I strive to create a relationship rooted in trust, safety, and collaboration.

Clients often leave sessions feeling more confident in their ability to navigate challenges, advocate for themselves, and work toward meaningful change.

We set clear, achievable goals together. Clients can expect to track progress over time and celebrate small wins along the way, which helps build momentum and hope.
