Great to meet you!

Hello! I'm Tishawna Lewis, LMFT.

I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, licensed in California, Georgia, and Texas. I’m passionate about supporting individuals through life’s challenges and helping them move toward healing, clarity, and personal growth.

My therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, and client-centered. I work to create a safe, supportive environment where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, stress, or life transitions, I tailor treatment to your unique needs using evidence-based approaches.

I have extensive experience providing both individual and group therapy to youth and adults in community mental health settings. I’m especially passionate about serving diverse and multicultural populations and bring a culturally responsive lens to all my work.

Therapy is a space for transformation, and I’m here to walk alongside you in that process—with compassion, insight, and a deep respect for your lived experience.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is client-centered and tailored to each individual’s unique needs.

I believe that every person brings their own strengths, history, and goals into the therapy room, and I work collaboratively to create a space where healing and growth feel possible.

I draw from several evidence-based modalities to best support my clients, including:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) – to help identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns
  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) – for emotion regulation, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness
  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) – for processing trauma and distressing memories
  • Solution-Focused Therapy – to emphasize strengths and build practical steps toward change
  • Motivational Interviewing (MI) – to support motivation, clarity, and readiness for change

Whether you're navigating anxiety, trauma, life transitions, or relationship challenges, I work to create a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard and supported.

What you can expect from me

In our work together, my primary goal is to build a genuine, trusting therapeutic relationship—one where you feel safe, respected, and truly heard.

Every session is tailored to meet your unique needs, whether you're seeking support for anxiety, trauma, life transitions, or simply looking to better understand yourself.

Clients often leave sessions with:

  • Greater insight into their thoughts, emotions, and patterns
  • Practical tools to manage stress, emotions, and relationships
  • A stronger sense of self and confidence in making meaningful changes
  • Support in navigating challenges with clarity and compassion

I understand that taking the first step toward therapy can feel overwhelming. But you don’t have to go through it alone—the healing journey is deeply personal, and also deeply worthwhile.

If you feel we might be a good fit, I invite you to reach out. I’m here when you're ready.
