Great to meet you!

My specialty is working with adults who had traumatic childhoods and are ready to unburden themselves from the long lasting impacts. I empower clients to process the pain from their past, find peace with their emotions and reactions, improve their relationships, reduce their stress levels, and increase their assertiveness and self esteem.

My experience as someone with AuDHD and as an HSP has given me the gift of noticing where society's rules don't make sense and finding the strength in that gift. I find so much joy in working with others in the neurodivergent community, being direct and silly, unlearning the biases and rules from society that make us think there is something wrong with us (when actually we're amazing), and figuring out how to live life authentically.

As a Middle Eastern therapist and child of immigrants, I also deeply value cultural awareness and the importance of honoring diverse identities and experiences. I strive to create a space where you can explore your bicultural identity, gain insight into and improve your emotional regulation around inherited intergenerational trauma, and process the struggles of being a different cultural generation than your parents and the pressure and guilt-tripping that can come with that.

My approach to therapy

Drawing on advanced training in trauma-informed insight-oriented therapy, I collaborate with clients to uncover how past experiences and current stressors impact their lives today. Using customized-to-you trauma-informed and inclusive approaches that emphasizes mind body healing, along with a touch of humor to keep things relatable, we will fill your toolbox with self-insight, coping strategies, and process the parts of your live you've had to survive. My approach is neurodivergent/LGBTQ+/culturally affirming, incorporating professional and lived experience with neurodivergence (autism/ADHD/HSP) and learning how to see your unique brain as your strength. I also have a deep understanding of intergenerational trauma and identity challenges, especially for those navigating the pressures of being a BIPOC 1st-generation cycle breaker. Therapy offers a space to heal, grow, and strengthen your relationships with yourself and others. If you’re ready to take this step, reach out to book a free consultation.

What you can expect from me

Sessions will be a custom fit to you, how you like to work, and what you need. After our introductory session, sessions will be a mix of processing past or current experiences and emotions, self-insight growth, and skill building. Depending on what you come in with that day, we may just hold the space for whatever is taking up your mind and energy at the time, dig deeper into your past to see how we can link it to present patterns, work on building some skills to give you some control back on your anxiety and trauma, helping you regulate your emotions, or a mix of all the things!
