Great to meet you!

You might be living with the impact of difficult life circumstances, trauma or PTSD—often feeling on edge, shut down, or caught in patterns they can’t seem to break. Many are used to pushing through on their own, even when it’s exhausting. I offer a steady, nonjudgmental space to gently process what you’ve been carrying, understand your nervous system, and build tools for grounding and healing. We move at your pace, helping you feel safer, more connected, and more like yourself again.

I specialize in trauma, PTSD, depression and anxiety, with extensive experience working with Veterans and adults with complex trauma. I use evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Processing Therapy, Prolonged Exposure, EMDR, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, along with emotion-focused work to support lasting, meaningful change.

Reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step—especially if you’re used to carrying things on your own. You might be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected, or simply tired of patterns that don’t seem to change. Whatever brings you here, it matters. Together we’ll work to understand what you’re going through and find a path forward that feels grounded.

My approach to therapy

I approach therapy with kindness, compassion, and curiosity, and I strive to create a space where you feel safe, respected, and understood. I take a collaborative, goal-oriented approach, working with you to identify what you want to get out of therapy and building a plan that fits your needs.

Because trauma work can feel overwhelming, I focus on pacing the process carefully and making sure you feel prepared before moving into deeper work. I use structured, evidence-based therapies to help you process difficult experiences, reduce symptoms, and feel more in control of your thoughts and emotions. At the same time, I remain flexible and responsive to what feels most helpful for you.

My goal is to help you move toward meaningful recovery—so you’re not just managing symptoms, but able to engage more fully in your life and the things that matter most to you.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we’ll focus on getting to know you and what brings you to therapy. I’ll ask questions about your current concerns, your history, and what you’re hoping to get out of treatment. You’re welcome to share at your own pace—there’s no expectation to go into detail about difficult experiences right away.

We’ll also talk about your goals for therapy and begin to identify what approaches may be the best fit for you. I’ll explain how I work, answer any questions you have, and make sure you have a clear understanding of what the process might look like moving forward.

My priority in the first session is to create a space where you feel comfortable, respected, and heard. By the end of our time, you can expect to have a better sense of how we’ll work together and the next steps in your care.
