Great to meet you!
I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and psychotherapist licensed in Texas for over 20 years. I earned my Master's Degree in Social Work (clinical tract) from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and have built my entire practice serving clients in Texas.
Over the course of my career, I've specialized in helping people navigate grief and bereavement, trauma, and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) — a condition that can develop after experiencing or witnessing a deeply distressing event. I also have extensive experience supporting clients through anxiety, depression, stress management, women's issues, family issues, and end of life issues, helping them find steadiness and growth through life's most unexpected challenges.
I take a person-centered, strengths-based approach — meaning I believe you already have the inner resources to heal, and my role is to help you access and build on them.
To support that, I draw from a range of evidence-based methods, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT, which focuses on changing unhelpful thought patterns), Trauma-Focused CBT (a specialized form of CBT designed for processing traumatic experiences), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT, which helps clients reframe distorted beliefs that develop after trauma), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT, a goal-oriented approach that focuses on building solutions rather than dwelling on problems), Behavioral Therapy (identifying and changing behaviors that contribute to distress), Behavior Modification Therapy (using structured techniques to reinforce positive behavioral change), and Brief Dynamic Therapy (a shorter-term approach that explores how past experiences shape current patterns).
Helping my clients achieve their goals and move forward on their healing journeys is my greatest privilege.
