Great to meet you!

Hello and Welcome! My name is Virginia and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I identify as a bi-racial woman and my pronouns are She/Her. As a licensed mental health professional, my goal is to support you with your unique goals. We will work together at a pace that is comfortable for you in order to improve your emotional health and well-being.

I consider myself to be an LGBTQ+ affirming therapist and an ally for LGBTQ+ individuals and sexual/gender minorities.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I practice from a strengths-based, client-centered approach that focuses on empowering each person to access their inner wisdom and move toward mental wellness. My counseling style is non-judgmental and my theoretical orientation is best described as humanistic/eclectic and unique to each person’s situation and background. I have experience working with a variety of disadvantaged populations and value social justice, authenticity, and each person’s right to self-determination.

What you can expect from our first session

I specialize in working with people who have experienced intimate partner violence, trauma/PTSD, anxiety and depression, or grew up in an environment where they were negatively impacted by a family member's substance use or mental illness.

I provide a safe environment and view you as the expert of your life, as you know yourself and your situation best. We will work together as a team to explore different perspectives and to develop tools/skills you can use to live a more balanced life.
