Great to meet you!

After volunteering in an HIV program and witnessing friends suffer from AIDS, I was inspired by the program director to pursue social work. This led me to community college and a scholarship to NYU. As a social worker, I help individuals on their journeys to achieve meaningful outcomes that impact themselves and others. I believe therapy is a partnership where we collaboratively set goals that matter to you, whether improving relationships, building self-esteem, or reaching personal objectives.

My approach to therapy

My main approach, Cognitive Ego Therapy, emphasizes that individuals have the answers to their challenges. The therapy helps clients uncover these answers and find ways to overcome their issues. I also provide techniques for stress reduction and meditation. Each session starts with a few minutes of stress reduction and muscle relaxation, if not under extreme stress. and clients learn to practice these techniques at home as needed.

What you can expect from me

The individual has the answers to his/her situations. And the therapy helps them bring out. ways to overcome their issues and ways to find answers to situations within ourselves. The first thing I do during a session is start with stress reduction. And muscle relaxation. For a few minutes. The client was taught how to do this as often as possible and whenever needed.
