Great to meet you!

Hi! My name is Whitney McCoy and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Virginia. I graduated from Radford University in 2020 with my MSW. I have worked in community mental health in numerous capacities since 2016.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy works best when it is built on trust, collaboration, and genuine connection. My approach is warm, compassionate, and tailored to your current needs. Whether you're navigating anxiety, OCD, depression, PTSD, or simply feeling overwhelmed by life's challenges, I am here to help you better understand yourself, develop effective coping strategies, and move towards the life you want to live.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other. We will talk about what brought you to therapy, any challenges you're currently facing, and what you hope to gain from our work together. This will be a time to begin building rapport and connection.
