Great to meet you!

Hello! I am a bilingual (Cantonese, English) Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and EMDR-trained Therapist. I believe that meaningful change is possible at any stage of life and that therapy can offer a grounded space for individuals to achieve greater clarity and emotional wellbeing. Originally from Hong Kong and trained in Expressive Arts Therapy at CIIS in San Francisco, I bring both personal experience and clinical expertise for cultural and individual diversity into my work. My main focus is working with individuals who are struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, burnout, and life transitions. A lot of times, I work with clients to navigate women's issues and cultural stress. I always appreciate how a shared humanity is able to help create a supportive environment for change to happen.

My approach to therapy

My approach is integrative and person-centered. I draw from a variety of modalities, primarily with EMDR Therapy, CBT, DBT, Mindfulness, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Expressive Arts Therapy. I believe that each person is the expert of their own experience and has an innate capacity for growth even when facing life challenges, and my role is a companion and change agent that I'll meet you at where you are at. Together, we will work as a team to explore your needs and goals at your pace. My hope is that this is a space where you can slow down and breathe, reconnect with your strengths and inner resources, and move toward a more grounded fulfilling life.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is a consultation and introductory session where we will begin by exploring what brings you to therapy and what you hope to gain from the process. I will ask questions to better understand your current concerns and background, but you are always welcome to share only what feels comfortable. I strive to create a welcoming and safe space where you can feel comfortable being vulnerable and sharing your story at your own pace. You can also take this opportunity to get a sense of my approach and ask any questions you may have. From there, we will discuss how the next steps will look like for you and how therapy may support your goals moving forward.
