Great to meet you!

Welcome! I’m Yadira Melgoza, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with nine years of clinical experience. I am passionate about supporting individuals and families on their journey to wellness and connection. My main focus work is children (ages 2+), adolescents, young adults, and parents who are struggling with anxiety, depression, adjustment difficulties, oppositional defiance, parent-child conflict and/or relationship issues.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I utilize evidence-based techniques tailored to each client’s unique needs. I most frequently use techniques from Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Emotionally-Focused Therapy, Play Therapy, and Structural Family Therapy. I am also certified in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), which enables me to effectively work with children (ages 2-7) and their caregivers.

What you can expect from our first session

My approach is warm and empathetic, fostering a safe space for clients to explore their thoughts and feelings. To promote growth, I like to challenge clients to reach attainable and collaboratively set goals.

I believe in the power of collaboration and I am committed to helping you develop coping strategies, build resilience, and achieve your personal and relational goals.
