Great to meet you!

Yasmin LoPiccolo is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). She graduated with a BA in Psychology from St. Joseph’s University, an MSEd in School Counseling from Brooklyn College, and an Advanced Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Medaille University. She is a warm, compassionate therapist who uses a relational approach to help you set goals, solve problems, and explore emotions. She feels while therapy is important to explore the hard stuff, it can also be a fun experience.

My approach to therapy

Yasmin takes a client-centered approach to therapy and believes that individuals should be a part of their own therapeutic journey. She utilizes many modalities including CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), Mindfulness, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing), and AEDP (Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy).

What you can expect from me

She has a wide range of experience working with young/emerging adults, individuals, and couples. Her expertise includes working with those who are a part of the BIPOC community and LGBTQIA+ community, as well as those experiencing anxiety, depression, quarter-life crises, trauma, racial identity crises, and women’s issues including perinatal support, postpartum support, and parenting. Yasmin will work with you to ensure you feel heard, safe, and motivated while exploring emotions in session.
