Great to meet you!

Dr. Chihombori-Quao (CHEE-hom-bow-REE KWOW) is a psychiatrist with dual board certification in Psychiatry and Family Medicine who delivers compassionate, multidisciplinary, and trauma-informed care via tele-health in California.

She graduated from Yale School of Medicine in 2018 and completed residency in UC Davis’ selective Combined Family Medicine and Psychiatry Residency in 2023. Since then, she has continued to work in numerous settings including Public Psychiatry, Addiction Medicine, and Correctional Psychiatry.

When she’s not enjoying her life’s work, she enjoys music, dancing, volleyball, basketball, and spending time with her family and pets (she devotes a significant amount of time to petting animals!).

My approach to therapy

I generally have an initial consultation with patients to identify concerns and goals. I draw from a broad knowledge-base of training to develop well-rounded treatment plans that may include pharmaceutical, nutritional supplement, or food medicines, plans for movement, and/or therapeutic "homework" as suggested. All recommendations are recommendations and the best plan is the one the patient feels most supported to achieve.

What you can expect from me

They can expect a thorough and sincere conversation and listening ear with clearly stated plans and goals communicated for our next appointment and plans for working together.
